Buzdar vows to cement ties with PML-Q Says dejected opp always resorted to point scoring on every issue

Punjab Assembly Speaker Pervaiz Elahi on Monday held a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and discussed matters pertaining to the session starting from September 2 (Wednesday).
Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister promised to strengthen working relationship with the PML-Q even stronger and move forward while keeping the allied party side-by-side. During the meeting, Pervaiz shared details about the new assembly building construction and said he was desirous of having the November session on the new premises for which, he added, work would be carried in three shifts. The two sides discussed the issues related to releasing funds and the strategy to address the hurdles in the new building as well as the assembly session convened by both the government and the opposition. Buzdar said the opposition parties had always resorted to point scoring on every issue and were currently dejected. He praised the speaker for the way he has run the House during the past two years and the two parties would work jointly for providing relief to the masses. The conspirators would be left behind and the alliance was going to continue marching forward, said the Punjab chief minister.
Earlier in the day, Pervaiz Elahi, in his capacity as the Punjab Assembly speaker, issued a production order for Hamza Shehbaz, the leader of opposition in the provincial legislature, so that he could attend the session.
CM REVIEWS SECURITY OF MAIN PROCESSION
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority head office on Youme Ashur and inspected security arrangements. He chaired a meeting about security arrangements and was also apprised of the performance of PSCA. The CM expressed his satisfaction over security arrangements as effective steps were taken for the security of processions and congregations. The surveillance system has been improved through the latest technology, he added. The forces are active and vigilant to foil the nefarious designs of anti-state forces and best coordination has also been maintained between law enforcement agencies, he said. The CM directed the administration and police to ensure compliance of security plan and officials should remain on duty till the peaceful disbursement of last procession’s participants.
Provincial Ministers Hashim Dogar, Ansar Majeed Niazi, Chief Secretary, IG Police, ACS (Home), MD and COO of PSCA, Commissioner Lahore, Secretary Information and others attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the chief minister monitored the security arrangements for Ashura Moharram and remained in contact with the government machinery and issued necessary instructions. He also visited the head office of PSCA to review processions’ monitoring and expressed the satisfaction that Youme Ashur ended peacefully due to the hard work of line departments.
Meanwhile, the CM has felicitated cabinet committee for law & order for maintaining best security arrangements during Ashura Moharram. He expressed the satisfaction that line departments burnt the midnight oil to maintain a peaceful atmosphere by making the best security arrangements in the province.
Similarly, peace committees, religious scholars and parliamentarians also played their role for maintaining brotherhood and unity at the grassroots, the CM concluded.
