Couple, 2 kids die in roof collapse

A couple along with their two children died when roof of their house collapsed due to heavy rainfall here on Thursday.
According to rescue and police, roof of a 2 marla single storey house collapsed in Barkat Town situated along main GT Road in suburbs of the provincial capital.
The eyewitnesses said the wall of muddy house collapsed due to standing rainwater in the area, after which the roof fell to the ground.
The rescue officials said that a man, his wife and two children died under the debris in the incident. The victims were identified as: 35-year-old Ali, 32-year-old Farzana, 4-year-old Aiman Ali and 7-year-old Islam Ali. The dead bodies were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters Shahdara Hospital.
