Punjab Industries and Trade Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal met with the President Punjab Marriage Halls Association Mian Muhammad Ilyas along with a delegation at Civil Secretariat.
The delegation members apprised him about the difficulties being faced by them due to the closure of marriage halls and corona pandemic.
The minister while talking to the delegation members remarked that every segment of society along with business was adversely affected due to Covid pandemic.
He maintained that with the grace of Allah Almighty, hard work put in by the relevant departments adopting effective strategy have brought significant decrease in the pandemic. Aslam Iqbal urged that we would have to adopt precautionary measures till complete eradication of coronavirus.
The minister reiterated that business activities have been restored along with SOPs and the wheel of economy has also set in motion. He emphasized that PTI government is fully aware of their genuine problems due to closure of marriage halls for continuous six months owing to Covid pandemic.
He assured them that it is strongly hoped that marriage halls will also be opened with SOPs in the second week of September. The minister disclosed that we would also provide tax relief to them.
The delegation members thanked the Minister on giving them assurance to resolve their due problems on preferential basis. The delegation members included Malik Aqeel Ahmad, Munir Ahmad, Mian Tajammal and other.
