Waqar Mehdi, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh and General Secretary PPP Sindh, while reacting to the press conference of Mayor Karachi, said that Waseem Akhtar is the most failed mayor of Karachi. “He did nothing for the people of Karachi except weeping for power for four years.” Mehdi said that they were trying unsuccessfully to mislead the conscious people of Karachi by coming to the media. The people of Karachi have recognized him. “He will complete his term after four days but today he is talking about the start of development works and their early completion.” The Special Assistant said that the Sindh government has released additional funds in addition to the budget to KMC and Karachi DMCs to solve the problems of the city. He said that cleaning of drains is the responsibility of KMC and dams but Sindh government released crores of rupees to KMC for cleaning drains of Karachi. The CM’s SA said that a few days ago, a new family recreation area has been set up behind Burns Garden and DG Science College under Karachi Neighborhood. He said that the Mayor Karachi had praised the Sindh government on the occasion of inauguration of Korangi Flyover and Shaheed Millat Underpass. He said that for the last 35 years, the people occupying Karachi have destroyed Karachi. The PPP has always served Karachi. Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and now PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari have issued strict instructions to the Sindh government to solve the problems of Karachi. Waqar Mehdi, Special Assistant to Chief Minister Sindh said that development works are underway in Karachi city and their completion will change the map of the city.
