Veteran educationist, Senior economist and research fellow at Cambridge University UK, said that at present the scholars having Ph. D’s degree are not finding employment which is mainly due to the contraction of the country’s economy, so that the government should initiate to introduce these research scholars in foreign universities. He asked the government to set its own priorities for solving the problems facing the country and due attention be given to research and development and in this regard guidance from national institutions should seek such as Pakistan Institute of Development Economics and Applied Economics Research Center, Karachi University to improve its performance. He expressed these views in an interview with Dr. Shujaat , the host of the University Radio Station’s program Corporate Lounge, on the occasion of his visit to MAJU, Karachi, yesterday. PTI govt is failed to deliver a better economic program and vision during its 2 year tenure in comparison previous governments. He was of the view that the anti-corruption campaign launched by PTI govt has lost its significance following remarks by the country’s high courts that the NAB and FIA were being used for political victimization.
