Punjab Inspector General of Police Shoaib Dastgir said that by keeping in view suggestions given by administrators and caretakers of Imambargahs, Zuljinnah and mourning processions, the Police Force equipped with modern technology, will utilize all available resources for maintaining law and order during Ashura-e-Muharram.
The police are committed to protect Majalis, processions and Imambargahs during Muharramul Haram and will provide a peaceful environment to the mourners perform their religious rites and prayers without any trouble.
He said that, religious tolerance and mutual harmony are the need of the hour in current situation therefore, religious scholars representing all sects will have to play both individual and collective roles for solidarity, unity and peace of country and also observe tolerance in this regard.
