LAHORE – Pakistani citizens like other nationals who required a Schengen visa of Sweden for entry are required to possess sufficient funds to finance their trip or stay in the European country.

To prove the funds, the applicants are required to submit a fresh and valid bank balance statement along with the applications. Attaching the document indicate the applicant is a genuine individual who will not slip in the country.

Sweden has become one of the top travel destinations in Europe, attracting visitors with its unique mix of historical landmarks, stunning natural beauty, and rich cultural heritage.

Each year, a large number of tourists from around the globe flock to this Scandinavian gem to experience its charm or enjoy a relaxing getaway. While citizens of certain countries can enter Sweden without a visa, most travelers, including those from Pakistan, need to apply for a short-term Schengen visa to visit.

The Swedish Embassy processes these visa applications for Pakistani citizens, as well as for Afghan nationals and foreign residents in Pakistan.

Proof of Funds

As per the rules, the applicant can submit the bank statement as proof of funds along with the visa application. The statement shows that the visitor owns enough funds to finance his/her stay in Sweden.

Bank Balance for Sweden Visit Visa

For Sweden schengen visa, applicants need to submit bank statements showing transactions in the last six months, duly signed and stamped by the bank, along with the visa application.

Reports said the daily required amount for a tourist is 80 Euros to bear expense of stay in Sweden.

Therefore, the applicants must hold 7,200 euros in their bank account if they intend to stay in Sweden for 90 days.

As of 02 December 2025, one euro is equal to Rs324.5, so the Pakistani applicants are required to have around Rs2.3 million in the bank account at time of applying the Sweden visa.
