9 arrested for possessing illegal weapons, drugs, liquor


Rawalpindi Police in their crackdown against illegal weapons and drugs rounded up nine persons from different areas and recovered 1250 grams charras, 30 grams heroin, two liquor bottles, a 30 bore pistol and ammunition from their possession.

A police spokesman informed that Rattaamral police held Shoukat for having 300 grams charras.

Banni police netted Syed Ramal for having 400 grams charras while Sadiqabad police rounded up an accused namely Islam with 110 grams charras. Pirwadhai police held Adeel and seized 220 grams charras and 30 grams heroin was recovered from Nadeem. Rawat police seized 220 grams charras and nabbed Asif.

Meanwhile, Taxila police arrested Kamran and Nadeem and recovered two liquor bottles while Waris Khan police held Adnan on recovery of a 30 bore pistol and ammunition.

Separate cases have been registered against all the accused while further investigations are underway, he added.
