8 outlaws arrested in Attock


The Attock Police on Saturday arrested eight criminals along with recovery of more than two kilograms of hashish, 20 liters of liquor, a Kalashnikov and three pistols with bullets from their possession during a crackdown launched within the jurisdiction of police stations of Hazro, Hassanabdal, Fatehjang, New Airport and Attock Saddar.

According to police sources, Hazro Police took into custody accused Abdul Haq of Dara Adam Khel on a charge of possessing hashish of 1150 grams, an illegal pistol of 30 bore with ammunition. Such as, Attock Saddar Police recovered 20 bottles of liquor from Umer Hayat, 30 bore pistol with bullets from Syed Rashid Shah of village Bagh Neelab and 710 grams of hashish from the possession of Syed Imran Abbas of Dhok Gama, Hassanabdal police checked and intercepted Azmat Khan with 474 grams’ hashish, illegal pistol with bullets from Mohammad Saeed of Khaliqdad, New Airport police arrested Mohammad Adnan of Fatehjang with 300 grams’ hashish.

Meanwhile, Fatehjang Police arrested proclaimed offender (PO) criminal Mohammad Safdar of Kot Fateh Khan along with recovery of a Kalashnikov and ammunition from his possession. Later on, cases were registered and further investigations are underway. On the other hand Two dacoits shot dead owner of a super store in Attock and looted cash worth million on Saturday.

The CCTV footage of the dacoity showed the incident at Cash and Carry store in Tehsil Attock’s Jand. Two unidentified dacoits had killed owner of the store Hafiz Naeemur Rehman by spraying bullets on him and looted cash worth millions of rupees before they escaped from the scene unchallenged. Police have so far been unable to apprehend the accused involved in the incident.

Traders and the business community have protested and raised their concerns over the issue. Police are investigating the tragic incident. Local traders have demanded arrest of the culprits and protested against the unfortunate incident.
