62 Corona deaths reported in Pakistan Buzdar tests positive—Senator Kalsoom dies of Covid-19

Pakistan has reported 62 Coronavirus deaths and 1,792 new positive cases on Monday.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 458,968.
Pakistan Muslim League-N Senator from Balochistan Kalsoom Perveen on Monday died of novel coronavirus. She was admitted to hospital a few weeks ago after testing positive.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani has expressed deep sorrow on demise of the senator and paying tribute to her, he said that Pakistan has lost a sincere and hardworking politicians, who represented under privileged sectors of Balochistan.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, sources of the Chief Minister House confirmed on Monday.
“A sample of the chief minister was taken for the [coronavirus] test after he felt ill,” said the source. “The chief minister had quarantined himself after feeling sick.”
Furthermore 3,638 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 3,333 in Sindh, 1,546 in KP, 391 in Islamabad, 206 in Azad Kashmir, 179 in Balochistan, and 99 in GB.
Till now 204,840 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 131,933 in Punjab 55,183 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 36,257 in Islamabad, 17,926 in Balochistan, 8,002 in Azad Kashmir and 4,827 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The cases of infection have surged to 204,840 in the province, the most affected region in Pakistan. The death toll has reached to 3,333 in the province.
The highest positivity rate of coronavirus cases was recorded in Karachi at 13.1 percent in the past 24 hours, the National Command and Operation Centre was briefed on Monday. Pakistan’s overall Test Positivity Ratio was recorded at 6.3pc.
The positivity ratio of coronavirus tests in Sindh was recorded at 7.91 pct, while in Azad Kashmir 8.25 pct, Balochistan 4.78, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 6.41 per cent and in Punjab 3.4 pe rcent.
The test positivity rate in the federal capital Islamabad was recorded at 3.58, while the minimum positivity rate was recorded at 1.2 per cent in Gilgit Baltistan region.
In Peshawar 6.36 positive cases recorded, while the positivity ratio in Rawalpindi was 5.74pc, Lahore, 9.49 and 6.78 per cent was recorded in Gujranwala.
