As many as 59 domestic as well as internationalflights of the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were cancelled onSaturday as the issue of fuel supply persists.
In all, 597 flights of the airline had to be cancelled in the last 12 days. Sources stated that fuel could be supplied to only eight international flights during this period for which the airline had to pay Rs100 million to the Pakistan State Oil (PSO). Only yesterday, PIA paid Rs70 million to the PSO for the purpose, they disclosed.
