District Returning Officer/DC Hafizabad Madam Sundas Irshad has said that all arrangements have been finalised to ensure holding of free, fair transparent elections of one constituency of Nation Assembly (NA-67) and three constituencies (PP-37, PP-38, PP-39) of Punjab Assembly in peaceful atmosphere today in the district Hafizabad whereas polling staff along with necessary election material have also been dispatched to polling stations in tight security.

Giving details of election arrangements, DRO said that 619 polling stations and 1910 polling booths for 810723 registered male and female voters were established throughout the district. She said that Pak Army and Rangers will also be performance duty along with police and no one would be allowed to create hurdle in polling process whereas police and other law enforcement agencies would be dealt law breakers and violators of code of conduct of election commission with iron hands.—Bashir Ahmad Rehmani
