With the polling for the general elections a day away, the fragile law & order in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa continued to paint a bleak picture as yet in an other terror bid at least five people were wounded in a blast targeting the vehicle of a known political figure and former Member KP assembly in South Waziristan Wednesday.

“A huge explosion occurred near the car of former Member of Provincial Assembly Naseerullah Wazir leaving at least five people seriously wounded,” locals and Police said adding the explosion took place in close proximity to Wazir’s parked vehicle, though the exact nature of the explosion and its intended target remain uncertain.

The law enforcers and the rescue teams rushed to the site of the blast and shifted injured for treatment to a nearby hospital, with the severity of their injuries yet to be determined. Law enforcement authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident yet remained clueless and no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The fresh attack came within forty-eight hours as a deadly attack on a Police Station in DI Khan around a dozen men in uniform were martyred while six others were wounded seriously. The well-organized assault was launched on a Police Station in Daraban Monday wee hours.
