44 students’ secured jobs, 58 students were offered paid internships during Arid Open House and Job Fair

85 companies conducted job interviews and technical tests during an Arid Open House and Job Fair 2022 organized by the University Institute of Information Technology (UIIT) and the University Institute of Management Sciences (UIMS) of PMAS-Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman inaugurated the event as a chief guest where all Dean, Directors, registrar, faculty members, management staff and students were present.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr Qamar-uz-Zaman said that job fairs not only provide opportunities for students to get jobs but also for companies to meet with potential candidates face-to-face and conduct multiple short, informal interviews with them to hire the best candidate. While appreciating the efforts of director UIIT & UIMS Prof. Dr Yasir Hafeez and all the faculty members in organizing such a successful event for students he said that such fruitful activities should always be continued.

In the end, Prof. Dr. Yasir Hafeez thanked all the participants, especially industry partners for their active participation and for offering jobs to the students of both institutes. In this event Around 44 students secured jobs, 58 students were offered paid internships, and around 106 students were shortlisted for further tests and interviews.
