On the instructions of the provincial government, the district administration launched a crackdown operation against illegal profiteers across the district through special price magistrates and as many as 429 shopkeepers were arrested during the process.
This was revealed by Attock Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza while briefing the journalists on Sunday about anti profiteering campaign launched by district administration during the holy month of Ramzan. He said that 35,602 visits were made by the special price magistrates across the district since commencement of holy month of Ramazan during which over 500 shop-keepers.
