Two cops among dead

At least three people, including two cops were killed and an equal number of others sustained serious injuries in two terror attacks in Lakki Marwat and South Waziristan tribal district on Sunday.
In one of the terror bid the unknown terrorists gunned down two cops said to be brothers by opening fire on them.
“Two head constable brothers were killed on the spot when terrorists opened fire on them in Abba Khel, Lakki Marwat district”. Police said adding the slain cops were identified as Head Constables Safiullah and NaveedUllah.
Security forces sealed the affected areas, gathered evidence, and launched investigations into the attacks to arrest the involved individuals. A search and net operation was also launched in the area yet the attackers remained at large.
In the meanwhile reports reaching here from South Waziristan agency say a middle intensity bomb explosion ripped through a busy bazaar in Kodikoy village in the outskirts of district headquarters Wana in Lower Waziristan. Locals said the unknown terrorists targeted a vehicle that was destroyed completely.
One person namely Shamsuddin on board the vehicle succumbed to his injuries while three others sustained wounds. The injured individuals were immediately transported to the hospital for medical treatment where they were stated to be in stable condition.
