Three members of a same family, including a two-year-old infant boy, died in an accident involving a truck, a motorcycle and a car. Rescuers said the accident occurred near Dhori Adda in Layyah early in the morning. Four other persons sustained injuries in the accident. Those killed in the incident were identified as Muhammad Ramzan, Majid and Abid. They were residents of the Chowk Sarwar Shaheed area.
The bodies and the injured persons were taken to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Chowk Azam. The truck driver fled the scene after the accident. Police reached the scene and started an investigation into the incident.
