29000 beds available in hospitals as part of NPQSC: Yasmin

Punjab Health Minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid said here Wednesday that over 29000 beds are available in public and private hospitals of Lahore as part of Naya Pakistan Qomi Sehat Card.

The Health Minister reviewed arrangements for card services in all divisions of Punjab and data collection in a meeting at the Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department.

Present in the meeting were Secretary SH&ME Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi, Special Secretary Dr. Asif Tufail, CEO Punjab Health Initiatives Management Company Dr. Ali Razzaq, Professor Javed Chaudhry and officials whereas Special Assistant to Prime Minister Dr. Faisal Sultan joined via video link. Secretary SH&ME Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi gave a briefing to the Minister on the status of card distribution.

The Health Minister said, “By 31st March 2022 the entire population in all districts shall be given Naya Pakistan Qomi Sehat cards. This insurance coverage is a great gift to the nation from Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The card distribution starts in Rawalpindi from 20th January, 9th February in Faisalabad, 22nd February in Multan, 2 March in Bahawalpur, 21st March in Gujranwala and 31st March in Sargodha.
