Provincial Minister for Works and Services, Syed Zia Abbas Shah has said that a total 53 ongoing schemes have been completed during the current financial year while the remaining 211 ongoing projects would be completed as soon as possible.
This he said while presiding a review meeting of the Works & Services Department in his office. Shah directed for early completion of the ongoing schemes while ensuring good quality of construction works. He said that personally he would also visit these schemes in the near future.
Earlier Secretary Works & Services Imran Atta Somoro has given a comprehensive briefing to the Minister Works & Services Syed Zia Abbas Shah regarding status of 299 ongoing schemes including details of 92 schemes of the category 100% LTBC, 84 schemes of 50% LTBC, 35 schemes of 33% LTBC and 88 schemes of 25% releases. The Minister was also informed that 25 schemes have been completed by the department in the month of October 2021.
The total number of ongoing schemes completed during the current financial year is 53 out of 211 schemes scheduled to be completed. The details of schemes completed are as 01 scheme has been completed in District Jamshoro, 01 scheme in Dadu, 01 scheme in Hyderabad, 02 schemes in Matiari, 01 scheme in Naushero Feroze, 01 scheme in Sujawal, 02 schemes in Thatta, 02 scheme in Tharparkar, 01 scheme in Sanghar, 01 scheme in Sukkur, 02 schemes in Ghotki and 01 scheme in Kashmore out of 92 schemes of 100% LTBC.
Similarly, 01 scheme in District Tharparkar, 03 schemes in Sukkur, 01 scheme in Kashmore, 01 scheme in SBA, 01 scheme in Mirpurkhas, 01 in Tando Allahyar and 03 schemes of District Umerkot were completed out of 84 schemes of 50% LTBC category. Moreover 01 scheme of District Matiari was completed of 33% LTBC category.
Shah was also briefed regarding the various development works, district wise by concerned Executive Engineers. Pace of construction work was apprised regarding each scheme in their district. Commitment for early completed of scheme was also given by Executive Engineers. Secretary Works also torch over about the progress of 401 new schemes of works & Services Department.
On the occasion Secretary Works & Services, Senior Chief (Development), Chief Engineer (Highways), Hyderabad, Chief Engineer (Highways), Sukkur, concerned Superintending Engineers and Executive Engineers were also attended the meeting.
