2021 to be year of prosperity for country: Augustine

Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minorities Affairs (HR&MA), Ijaz Alam Augustine has said that coronavirus pandemic adversely affected every sector of life in 2020 but it is hoped that 2021 will be the year of development and prosperity for Pakistan.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of one-day New Year festival at Nolakkha Church on Friday, he hoped that 2021 will be a historic year for Pakistan as many welfare schemes were being started which will take Pakistan to new heights of development.
Ijaz Alam said that the constitution of Pakistan clearly states the protection of places of worship of religious minorities and the Punjab government is working to provide various facilities to the religious minorities. PM Imran Khan has also taken practical steps to make the whole world realize that how innocent Kashmiris are deprived of their all rights in Indian Occupied Kashmir, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Rvd Dr Majeed Abel prayed for the protection and prosperity of Pakistan. He said 2020 will never be forgotten due to the corona epidemic all over the world as millions of people have lost their loved ones. New Year should begin with new hopes and we all have to ensure implementation of SOPs to fight against Covid-19, he added.
