A tanker and tractor-trolley collided Saturday in Hafizabad spilling tonnes of acid on the road while rescue authorities launched an operation to limit the spread.
The accident occurred near Jalalpur Bhattian where a tanker carrying 20 tonnes of sulfuric acid was going from Shujabad Multan to Ali Pur Chattha when it collided head on with a tractor-trolley in Hafizabad.
Rescue 1122 launched a rescue operation to clear the Sargodha Road Corridor. Separately, driver and two other people were injured when a tanker filled with oil overturned on the road. Rescue 1122 reached the spot and shifted the oil into another tanker.
