In a heart-wrenching incident, two young lives were lost on Thursday after being struck by a passenger train in the Gorala area of Gujrat. Witnesses and authorities report that the victims, identified as 15-year-old Samiullah and 18-year-old Afnan, were using their cell phones while walking along the railway track at the time of the unfortunate mishap.
Upon receiving the distress call, Rescue 1122 officials swiftly reached the scene, but tragically, they were unable to save the young souls. Pronouncing the victims dead, the rescue team handed over the bodies to the local police for further investigation and legal formalities.—INP
