Adam Khan Wazir Wana
In the Tanai area of Wana Tehsil, Lower South Waziristan District, tragedy struck on Tuesday evening as the roof of a dilapidated room succumbed to heavy rainfall, injuring two women in the process.
According to family sources, the incident occurred within the residence of Muhammad Adil Wazir, where both women were present inside the room at the time of the collapse. Muhammad Adil Wazir recounted the horrifying ordeal, stating that the debris from the collapsed roof trapped the women, necessitating a swift rescue effort by locals.
The injured women were identified as Zeenat Bibi, wife of Muhammad Adil Wazir, and her sister, Soria Bibi, both belonging to the Kundi Zai tribe within the Wazir community.
Following the incident, the victims were promptly transported to the District Headquarters Hospital in Wana for initial medical attention. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were subsequently referred to the DHQ Hospital in Dera Ismail Khan for further treatment. Hospital sources confirmed that the women are under medical care.
