The police arrested two neighbourer women involved in kidnapping/murder of four-year-old Iqra. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, DPO Mardan Sajjad Khan said that the culprit ladies residing in neighbourhood quarreled with mother of the girl two days earlier than Eid ul Adha.
To take revenge, Fatima and Nadia abducted four-year-old Iqra on Eid ul Adha night, killed her with sickles and threw her body in sugarcane fields, he added.
The DPO further stated that police succeeded to trace and arrest the culprits through poly-graphic machine and other modern equipment.
Meanwhile at least six people including a woman were injured in clash between two rival groups here on Tuesday. Police said that members of two groups which were in old dispute attacked each other with batons and exchanged blows in suburban village Chak 661/2 of Pir Mahal in district Toba Tek Singh. A woman among six people were injured in the clash and rushed to local hospital for treatment.—INP
