2 bankers held for ‘influencing’ witnesses

Observer Report

The Federal Investigation Agency arrested on Sunday two officials of a private bank on charges of influencing witnesses in a money laundering case against PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif and others.

The arrested officials include Muslim Commercial Bank vice president Asim Suri and group head Azhar Mahmood.

The agency said they both were coercing prosecution witnesses, including bank officials, into changing their statements.
