16 people abducted for ransom rescued

As many as 16 robbers were killed and 16 people abducted for ransom were rescued during operation in Kacha area of Ghotki.

The police also protected kidnap of 66 people at Sindh-Punjab police check post. District Police Officer (DPO), Farooq Akhtar said that the police launched crackdown for recovery of people abducted for ransom in Kacha area of Ghotki during which exchange of fire took place between law enforcers and culprits. In cross firing 16 robbers were reported killed and 16 people abducted for ransom were rescued.

Meanwhile, the Sindh government to deal with criminals in Kacha areas of various districts of provinces has consulted Pakistan Ordinance Factory for purchase of modern weapons including drone, armored vehicles and fire power weapons. On the other hand, the provincial government was also importing modern rifles, telescopes having capacity to work in dark besides command and control vehicles from Armenia.—INP
