4th ICT competition 2019-2020 launched in August by Huawei in collaboration with HEC. As part of the competition, Huawei offers all participants’ access to free courses and learning materials as well as opportunities for free online exchanges, learning, and preparation. By doing so, Huawei hopes to achieve the goal of an equal opportunity for quality education and that more people can benefit from the digital economy. Upgradation of teaching methods and connectivity with the industrial development will be focused. This will direct the students to perceive employer’s perspective by developing their ICT knowledge.
The Huawei ICT Competition 2019-2020, Roadshows and awareness sessions were conducted at 50+ colleges and universities all around Pakistan by Huawei authorized learning partner’s (HALPs) like Corvit and PDC KICS. The number of registrations reached 12000+ which is the highest record in four years & 4940 students participated in preliminary exam at 30+ university locations this year. Top 500 students shortlisted from this preliminary exam for round two which was the enablement training and certification exam.
Top 500 Students from Preliminary exams attended Enablement training from 24th to 26th of October and Certification exam on 27th of October at different locations all across Pakistan as well as at some remote areas also Including – Mehran University Of Engineering And Technology Jamshoro (MUET), Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences(BUITEM), National University Of Science And Technology(NUST), University OF Balochistan Quetta, University Of Engineering And Technology Taxila & different other key universities of Pakistan by Huawei authorized learning partner’s (HALPs) like Corvit and PDC KICS – In this round students attended different training sessions related to Routing & Switching, Security, Cloud and Storage. After these training sessions students participated in HCIA Certification Exam.
