15 Kabul townships under review for determining grabbed land

The Ministry of Justice says it has examined the documents of 15 residential townships in capital Kabul and its districts to identify grabbed land plots.

The Ministry of Justice an-nounced in a statement that on November 27, the Cases Department of the ministry re-quested officials of 27 town-ships in fifth, sixth, eighth, tenth, twelfth, seventeenth po-lice districts and Bagrami and Deh Sabz, Paghman and Shakar Dara districts to sub-mit their documents for their properties.

The statement says that offi-cials of 15 townships have so far submitted their documents to the Ministry of Justice, which is under review.

Based on the relevant law, the documents will be reviewed by the Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the Ministry of Urban Development and Land and Kabul Municipality to determine usurped land of the government in these townships, the source said.

The Ministry of Justice has said that the documents of the remaining settlements will be examined in cooperation with security agencies when sub-mitted.

The source said that the proc-ess will continue until the documents of all townships are fully reviewed.
