KARACHI – The Pakistan Naval Academy hosted the passing-out parade for the 124th Midshipman and 32nd Short Service Commission courses.
The prestigious event was graced by Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim Al Bin Ali, Commander of the Royal Bahrain Naval Force, as the chief guest. Admiral Naved Ashraf, Chief of Naval Staff, warmly welcomed the distinguished guest.
During the ceremony, the cadets saluted Admiral Naved Ashraf, while Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim Al Bin Ali inspected the parade. The event saw a remarkable display of discipline and professionalism by the graduating cadets.
The chief guest, Rear Admiral Al Bin Ali, presented awards to outstanding cadets for their exceptional performance.
Officer Cadet Umar Mukhtar from Pakistan and Officer Cadet Al-Zahabi Fadh Hassan Fareed from Iraq were both awarded the Chief of Naval Staff Gold Medal.
Midshipman Shahab Ahmad was honored with the Academy’s Dagger, while Midshipman Muhammad Uzair Abbas received the Honorary Sword for his overall best performance.
Commodore Zia-ur-Rehman, Commandant of the Pakistan Naval Academy, expressed pride in the institution, calling it a beacon of excellence in training and education for future naval officers.
Rear Admiral Al Bin Ali, addressing the gathering, thanked the Chief of Naval Staff for inviting him to the ceremony and spoke about the strong ties between Pakistan and Bahrain.
He recalled his own graduation from the Pakistan Naval Academy, emphasizing the vast opportunities available to the cadets.
He urged them to use their talents to serve their nations and praised the academy for providing high-quality professional training. The Bahraini Admiral also reaffirmed the importance of the friendship between Pakistan and Bahrain, emphasizing that their bond would remain strong.
In the end, the graduating cadets took their oath, marking the culmination of their rigorous training at the prestigious institution.
