1,000 stickers of Schengen visas stolen from Italian Embassy

A case of strange theft has been reported at the Embassy of Italy in the diplomatic enclave of Islamabad as 1,000 stickers of Schengen visas have been reported missing from the mission.

According to sources on Tuesday that 1,000 stickers of Schengen visas had gone missing from the Embassy of Italy.

The Foreign Ministry has written a letter in this regard to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Interior Ministry.

The Foreign Ministry informed the Interior Ministry about the numbers of the stolen visa stickers. It revealed that 1,000 visa stickers had gone missing from the locker of the Italian Embassy. It said that the Italian Embassy also was investigating the matter itself.

It directed the Interior Ministry to check visas bearing the aforementioned numbers at all entry and exit points of Pakistani borders. The serial numbers of 750 stolen stickers of Schengen visas start from 041913251 to 041914000. And the serial numbers of 250 stolen stickers start from 041915751 to 041916000.

The Foreign Ministry has informed the Interior Ministry. It directed the Interior Ministry to arrest people who would be found travelling on these visa numbers.
