Islamabad Capital Police apprehended 10 outlaws including two professional baggers from different areas of the city during the last 24 hours and recovered wine, hashish and heroin from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Islamabad Capital City Police Officer (ICCPO) Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.
Following these directions the Kohsar police team arrested two accused namely YasirKhurshid and Saddam Hussain and recovered 20 liters of alcohol and 670 gram heroin from their possession.
The Margalla police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Umeek and recovered 535 gram hashish from his possession. The Shalimar police arrested an accused namely AamirMasih and recovered 25 liter alcohol from his possession.
Likewise, the Golra police team arrested an accused namely ShakarZada involved in illegally refilling gas cylinders. The Noon police team arrested an accused namely Aziz Ur Rehman involved in illegally
refilling gas cylinders. The Koral police arrested an accused namely Faisal and recovered 50 bottles of wine from his possession. The Lohi Bher police team arrested an accused namely Yasir Ali and recovered 504 gram heroin from his possession. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
During the ongoing crackdown against professional beggars, the Islamabad Capital Police arrested two professional baggers and registered cases against them under the beggar act.
