The number of dengue cases is on the increase in Multan as 10 new patients were reported during the last 24 at Nishtar Hospital. After the recent dengue cases, the number of people suffering from the virus has reached 28 across the city. Up to 18 out of the 28 patients brought during the related period were found to be infected with the virus while the reports of other 10 are on pending.
Meanwhile, four dengue patients have been discharged from the hospital after being found negative for the virus. Ant-Dengue is being carried out across Multan on a regular basis while district administration has appealed locals to cooperate with them. Anti-dengue teams of health department and municipal corporation took dozens of air coolers into custody during a special crackdown launched here on Sunday.
Khanewal: Dengue surveillance teams issued notices to 111 tyre shops, challaned 23 while got registered cases against four scrap shops during ongoing campaign in the district. This was said by Focal Person Dr Bashaam Khalid during a meeting of district emergency committee regarding anti-dengue campaign held here on Sunday which was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry.
Sargodha: Deputy Commissioner Asia Gull ordered anti dengue teams of the health department to visit residential and commercial places to eliminate dengue. She said all out efforts should be made to eliminate dengue and directed the health department to visit such places from where dengue patients were detected. She said negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.—APP
