Earlier today, Pakistani government signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SC Financial Technologies LLC, an affiliate of global fintech giant World Liberty Financial, to explore the use of its stablecoin for cross-border transactions.

The agreement, announced during the visit of World Liberty CEO Zach Witkoff, aims to foster technical collaboration and discussions on secure, transparent, and compliant digital payment systems, including innovations in cross-border settlements and foreign exchange.

Federal Minister for Finance Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to staying ahead in the global financial landscape by engaging with credible international partners while ensuring innovation aligns with regulation and national interests.

With over $38 billion in annual remittances, an estimated 40 million crypto users, and potential trading volumes up to $300 billion, Pakistan is emerging as a key player in global digital finance, attracting strong international interest and signaling a bright future for fintech innovation.
