At least six people, including a woman and children, were killed when the roof of a house caved in amid a wedding ceremony in Charsadda.
According to the Rescue 1122, the incident occurred in the Shabqadar area of Charsadda at around 4 am on Sunday. Rescue teams reached the spot and recovered dead bodies, and rescued the injured from the debris.
The officials say that the living room was packed with wedding guests when the roof collapsed. The victims included a woman and children between the ages of 7 and 15.
Rescue teams worked to recover the bodies and clear debris. Investigations are underway to ascertain the cause of the roof collapse.
