Water filtration plant installed

In continuation of the efforts to tackle the challenge of scarcity of potable water in the district, Frontier Corps Sector Headquarters South (FC SHS) installed another water filtration plant in the city.

So far ten water filtration plants have been installed in Tank city and other rural areas by FC SHS.

Commanding Officer (CO) of 25 Sindh Regiment and District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmad Sahibzada formally inaugurated the newly installed Water Filtration plant in Mohallah Sheikhwala of the city.

A good number of political, social, and religious notables were present on this occasion.

Talking to media persons during the inaugural event, Qari Nasrullah, Maqbool Anwar and others applauded the services of FC SHS and Pak-Army in recognition of matchless sacrifices for restoration of lasting peace in the region and initiating various humanitarian and social endeavors to help the ailing humanity of the district.

The Water Filtration plant would not only satisfy the drinking water needs of dozens of families of the locality rather it would also facilitate hundreds of students of Government Girls High School No 1, situated near the plant, to get clean potable water in scorching weather.

It is worthy to be mentioned here that as per the public demand and special directives of Inspector General FC SHS Major General Omar Bashir and Sector Commander SHS, so far 10 water filtration plants have been installed by FC SHS in different areas of Tank with more filtration plants under work to overcome the problem of scarcity of clean drinking water in the politically deprived district.
