VU celebrates Independence Day with full zeal


Virtual University celebrated 75th Independence Day of Pakistan with full zeal and zest through Plantation and Cleanliness Drive across Pakistan.

In a grand ceremony at Virtual University KSK Campus Rector Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti hoisted the National Flag and started the celebrations of Independence Day. Celebrations of independence were done across Pakistan with enthusiasm and campuses of Virtual University of Pakistan were decorated with fairy lights on Diamond Jubilee festivity. A Cleanliness and Plantation Drive was carried out in more than 100 cities of Pakistan by 200 plus campuses of Virtual University to protect the environment.

On this occasion, Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti planted a sapling of a tree to start a massive plantation drive across Pakistan. Special prayers were done for peace, solidarity and prosperity of the country. Cake Cutting was also done at the ceremony. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti in his speech congratulated the students who participated in the Independence Day competitions and won the prizes. He mentioned that our forefathers rendered countless sacrifices for the sake of dear motherland. He highlighted the great efforts of the Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for making Pakistan a reality. The future of the country belongs to the youth of the county. Faculty of the educational institutes plays a major role in building a nation. Faculty along with the student community of Virtual University should work hard and play their part in the progress and prosperity of the county, Dr. Arshad added.
