UVAS reviews progress of volunteer teams’ efforts for flood victims


UVAS Flood Relief Management Committee of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore under UVAS Flood Relief & Assistance Campaign 2022 arranged review meeting of conveners and secretaries regarding the activities and working progress of flood relief volunteer teams to providing veterinary services & necessary items among flood victims here on Wednesday.

Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Nasim Ahmad (SI) presided over the meeting and said it is the real honor for UVAS that Chancellor/Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh-ur-Rehman appreciated UVAS flood relief efforts for flood victims in a befitting manners. He said Governor Punjab always encourages UVAS working for the betterment of humanity.

He said UVAS is a unique university who is working not only for the development of livestock sector even also served in the odd circumstances of country like natural disaster related to floods and earthquake in the past.

Prof Dr Nasim said that flood relief volunteer teams provide relief services and goods among deserving flood victims in a transparent manners and such teams to be role model for others. He mentioned with the effort of UVAS whole staff and donors we successfully developed a model that can be replicated by us and other higher education institutions. He said I am very thankful to all the donors and their trust on UVAS is really appreciable.
