LONDON – The United Kingdom, France, and Canada have issued a warning to Israel, stating that if it does not cease its ongoing military operations in Gaza and lift restrictions on humanitarian aid, they may consider imposing sanctions.
In a joint statement, the three countries declared that the Israeli government’s refusal to provide essential humanitarian assistance to civilians is unacceptable and constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law.
The statement also criticized the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank. It warned that if settlement construction continues, targeted sanctions could be imposed by these countries.
The warning comes at a time when, for the first time in three months of complete blockade, five aid trucks—carrying children’s food and other humanitarian supplies—have entered Gaza through the Kerem Abu Salem crossing.
The United Nations welcomed the entry of aid but emphasized that significantly more assistance is needed to address the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
According to the reports, Israel is committing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza by continuously bombing the besieged enclave. The women and children are dying of hunger while there is no medical facility left for the people Gaza due to destruction and barbarism of Israel.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday that they are close to capturing the entire Gaza. The whole Arab World is silent and is not taking any practical step to stop Israel from genocide of Palestinians in Gaza or capturing the whole of Gaza after unprecedented barbarism and brutality there.
