Two guards dead in IED attack targeting convoy of MPA Rind’s son

An improvised explosive device (IED) incident took place on Saturday in the Balochistan neighbourhood of Noshman, killing two security guards of the son of Balochistan MPA Assembly Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind and injuring one more, according to the local government.

According to Assistant Commissioner Fahad Shah Rashdi, the IED that had been placed alongside the road exploded as Rind, the son of the aforementioned MPA, was travelling to Dhadar in his convoy.

As a result, one security guard had critical injuries, while two were instantaneously killed. Mir Sardar Khan Rind was fortunately unharmed. The hurt guard was sent to Dhadar Civil Hospital.

Law enforcement authorities have roped off the area and are actively looking for and apprehending the offenders in the meantime.

Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo denounced the assault on the convoy.

The chief minister released a statement in which he expressed his sorrow and grief over the terrorism-related deaths of two security guards.

The chief minister praised God that Sardar Khan Rind was unharmed in the blast and instructed the LEAs to utilise all available means to locate those responsible for it.
