Turkish delegation visits Data Ganj Bakhsh shrine

President of the Presidential Religious Affairs of the Turkish Government Dr Ali Arbas, accompanied by a delegation, visited the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh, here on Saturday.

The delegation laid a wreath at the grave while Khateeb Data Darbar Mufti Ramzan Sialvi offered Fateha Khwani. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noor-ul-Haq Qadri and Punjab Minister for Auqaf Syed Saeed-ul-Hassan welcomed the delegation and presented bouquets to its members.

Secretary Auqaf Punjab Jawad Akram, Additional Secretary, Director General Auqaf Syed Tahir Raza Bukhari, Administrator Data Darbar Khalid Mahmood Sindhu, Zonal Administrator Babar Kundal and other officials were also present. Special gifts and souvenirs were presented to all the guests.

Dr. Ali Arbas said that the Pakistan visit would strengthen relations between the two countries. Islamic world was in dire need of unity and solidarity; Dr Arbas said and appreciated the role of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Imran Khan in this regard. He said that at present the Islamic world must be protected from violent and extremist attitudes.

Dr Ali Arbas and his team thanked the Government of Pakistan and the Government of Punjab for the reception given to them in Pakistan.
