Ttap Calls For Parliaments Joint Session On Security Situation In Balochistan Ajk

ISLAMABAD – The opposition alliance, Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Ayeen Pakistan (TTAP), on Saturday called for a joint session of Parliament to deliberate on the security situation in Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and other national security issues.

Opposition Leader in National Assembly Mahmood Khan Achakzai demanded an independent investigation into the recent Ziarat incident and urged the government to take action against officials found responsible.

He was addressing a joint press conference in Islamabad.

Achakzai said that in many countries, ministers resign following such incidents, adding that he had been prevented from visiting Azad Kashmir despite his intention to meet and express solidarity with the people there.

Speaking at the same press conference, Sardar Akhtar Mengal stressed that the country’s challenges could only be resolved through political dialogue. He said tolerance and constructive engagement were essential for strengthening the democratic process.

Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said Pakistan was facing an intensifying political and security crisis.

He warned that public frustration and disappointment were growing due to the prevailing situation and urged authorities to address the country’s challenges through democratic and constitutional means.
