Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has criticized the angry leader of PTI Jahangir Tareen and said that he enjoyed the status of Deputy Prime Minister and did such things which caused loss to the country and PTI.
In an interview to foreign media, Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that the government in Punjab has no fear from the Jahangir Tareen group.
Pervaiz Elahi completely ruled out the possibility of any no-confidence motion against the Punjab Chief Minister.
Referring to the politics of PML-N, he said that it was not a matter of narrative within the party but a matter of political legacy.
The fact is that the vote bank belongs to Nawaz Sharif. If they go to the polls divided like this, there will be no good news for the PML-N.
Talking about the PTI’s victory in the Senate elections, he said that Asif Ali Zardari assisted in the Senate elections at his request. “I wanted to thank him because so much work has been done in the Senate.
Imran Khan himself had told me that we were losing three seats”, he recalled and added that money was being distributed among the political peoples excessively. “I worked hard for five or six days because I have good relations with all the parties.
That’s why this defeat turned into a victory”, Pervaiz Elahi said. He said that Mr. Zardari did not withdraw the papers, adding that then he requested him and he took papers back. “So I went to thank him.” Pervaiz Elahi pointed out that and still look at the opposition meeting that took place in Karachi, the PPP was not there.
