In a proud moment for Pakistan, the International Society of Endocrinology (ISE) recently announced that Dr. Syed Abbas Raza has been elected president of the society and will serve in this prestigious position from August 2022 to October 2024. ISE is a global community of endocrine organizations worldwide which represents a broad network of health care professionals integrating all areas of endocrinology and metabolism.
The society facilitates collaboration and integration across endocrine organizations and regions. Dr. Syed Abbas Raza is a Member of the Board of Governors and Past-President of the Pakistan Endocrine Society (PES).
He has also served as the Past-President and Founder Vice President of the South Asian Federation of Endocrine Societies (SAFES). He has previously also served on the Board of Directors for the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). As well as contributing to numerous journal publications, Dr. Raza has also served as Chief Investigator for several clinical trials.
