LUMS and KPS Cadet School and College students visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority here on Saturday.
The delegation was given a detailed briefing on the PSCA work, and the shift commander showed it round various authority departments.
The students were briefed about the Operations and Monitoring Center, 15 Emergency Call Centers, and the Electronic Data Analysis Center.
The delegation was briefed on modern policing with the use of artificial intelligence. Safe City has developed AI-based software for automatic helmet and seatbelt detection and gun detection. It was informed to the delegation that facilities like live location of callers and conference calls with first responders have been introduced for those who call on 15. Smart Safe City projects are being implemented in 18 more cities in Punjab.
The teachers and students said that the success of the modern Safe City project in Pakistan is a pride for them.
