LAHORE – It is mandatory for all Pakistani skilled workers to obtain the skill verification certificate from Takamol, which conducts Tests in Pakistan through NAVTTC, to travel to Saudi Arabia on a work visa.
Pakistan has become the first country to enter into an agreement with Takamol Saudi Arabia for the implementation of the “Skills Verification Program” (SVP).
The Kingdom introduced the SVP on July 1, 2021, as part of its efforts to regulate the labor market.
Mandatory Skill Verification for Skilled Workers
As part of this initiative, skilled workers planning to work in KSA, including those from Pakistan and other Asian countries, must undergo skill verification by Takamol Saudi Arabia, the authorized agency overseeing the process. This verification has become a compulsory requirement for workers seeking employment in KSA.
Who Needs Takamol Testing?
Candidates intending to travel to Saudi Arabia from Pakistan must pass the Takamol SVP test for trades specified by KSA. This requirement ensures that workers meet the standards set by the Kingdom for various professions.
NAVTTC’s Role in the Program
The National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) plays a crucial role in supporting stakeholders involved in the implementation of this program. NAVTTC assists Takamol SVP, assessment centers, and candidates throughout the process.
