Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has said that the shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri (RA), popularly known as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA), holds a unique spiritual and historical significance and is a place of deep reverence for millions of devotees.
He said that the shrine attracts a large number of devotees from across Pakistan and abroad; therefore, provision of better facilities, improved infrastructure and a safe, comfortable and dignified environment for visitors must remain a priority. He expressed these views during his visit to Data Darbar Lahore. Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, Administrator Data Darbar Muhammad Ali Khan, XEN Qaiser Munir and other officers of Data Darbar were also present on the occasion. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar offered Fateha at the shrine and prayed for the peace, prosperity, progress and stability of Pakistan. Later, he inspected the ongoing development works at the shrine complex and reviewed the progress of various components of the project.
Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta briefed the Deputy Prime Minister in detail about the overall development plan, ongoing construction activities, infrastructure improvements and measures being taken to facilitate devotees and visitors.
Dr. Ehsan Bhutta said that the development project is being carried out with a special focus on providing modern and improved facilities to devotees while preserving the religious, historical and architectural significance of Data Darbar. He further apprised that the relevant departments and field teams are working in close coordination to ensure timely completion of the development works and to minimize inconvenience to devotees during the construction phase.
Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar expressed satisfaction over the progress of the development works and appreciated the efforts of the Auqaf Department and other concerned departments. He directed the officers to ensure quality construction, timely completion of the project and provision of all possible facilities to devotees.
