Shibli directs universities to start internship programs, boot camps

Federal Minister for Science and Technology, Shibli Faraz on Friday directed the heads of various science and technology varsities to start internship programs and boot camps in coordination with the other organizations of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The minister was speaking during a meeting held here with the heads of Rectors of National University of Science and Technology (NUST), COMSATS and NUTECH.

The federal minister stressed the need for establishing proactive linkages between the universities and departments of the Ministry of Science and Technology in order to ensure optimal utilization of human resource, laboratories and research and development installations.

Shibli Faraz said that linkages between research and development organizations and universities are of pivotal importance.

He added that all organizations of the ministry must synergize their efforts towards the skill development of our valuable human resource and capacity building of the dormant departments.
