Shab-e-Meraj Nawafil

There are five specific prayer structures for spiritual rewards of this blessed night:

12-Rak’at

Performed in sets of two, each Rak’at includes reciting Surah Al-Ikhlas five times. It is concluded with 100 times of Third Kalima, Istighfar, and Durood Sharif, with the promise that any sincere Dua following this will be accepted.

6-Rakat

A shorter sequence involving seven recitations of Surah Al-Ikhlas per Rak’at, followed by 50 Duroods. This is traditionally performed for the fulfillment of all religious and worldly needs and the seeking of forgiveness for thousands of sins.

2-Rakat

2-Rak’at prayer requiring 20 recitations of Surah Al-Ikhlas and 20 recitations of Durood-e-Ibrahim in the final sitting. The specific intent (Niyyah) of this prayer is to offer its spiritual reward as a gift to the Holy Prophet PBUH.

A unique 2-Rak’at prayer utilizing Surah Al-Inshirah (Alam Nashrah) and Surah Al-Quraysh. According to the text, this earns the practitioner a reward equivalent to sixty prayers performed by the Awliya (Saints).

10-Rak’at

This involves reciting Surah Al-Kafirun and Surah Al-Ikhlas three times each. It concludes with a specific Arabic supplication (Dua), and is said to carry the reward of 100 Rak’ats for every single Rak’at performed.
