QUETTA – Security forces have killed 11 terrorists in separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
Operations were conducted in South Waziristan and Bannu in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as well as Sasol in Khuzdar district of Balochistan.
In Bannu, two members of “Fitna al-Khawarij” were killed during an intelligence-based operation. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered, while a terrorist hideout was destroyed with explosives.
In the Ladha area of South Waziristan, security forces conducted an operation following intelligence about the movement of militants. Five terrorists were killed after their presence was detected and the area was cordoned off, according to security sources.
Meanwhile, four terrorists affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan were killed during an operation in Sasol, Khuzdar. Security sources said the targets were effectively engaged with the assistance of a quadcopter.
Security sources said the operations were conducted with measures in place to protect the lives and property of civilians and ensure that the local population remained unharmed.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has appreciated the security forces for conducting successful operation against terrorists.
He said the entire nation stood united with the security forces in their efforts to eliminate terrorism and ensure the country’s security.
