SBP announces bank holiday in Pakistan on Thursday

The State Bank of Pakistan, its allied offices and public, private banks and financial institutions will remain closed on Thursday, December 25, on account of public holiday on Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas.

According to a press release issued by the SBP on Monday, the central bank, its allied offices and public, private banks and financial institutions will reopen to resume working as per normal routine on Friday, December 26.

“SBP will remain closed on December 25, 2025 (Thursday), being a public holiday on the occasions of Quaid-e-Azam Day and Christmas, as declared by the Government of Pakistan”, the press release reads.
